Annual Exhibition at Denbies - 2009

Our annual photographic exhibition and print sale at Denbies vineyard here in Dorking has been a great success. Held in the week of 23rd November 2009, over 100 framed images were exhibited by our Club members.
Organisation of this event greatly surpassed last year’s exhibition and therefore our thanks go to David Lloyd and Kate Albert for their hard work over the past months and for a job very well done. David had produced an excellent exhibition catalogue detailing all of the images on show and including advertisements from many of the town’s local traders to whom we also pass our thanks for their continued support. The exhibition was also well advertised by David and Kate with articles and photographs appearing in several local newspapers and other publications as well as mentions on local radio stations. Visitors to the exhibition remarked on how impressed they were with the very high standard of photography on show. Our thanks go to our many club members for supplying such well presented images. Everyone really did try extremely hard this year to put on a great show. We would also like to thank Denbies Wine Estate for their kind assistance.
During the exhibition the public had the chance to vote for their favourite image. The Walker Cup will be presented to the photograph gaining the most votes from the public and we are very pleased to announce that this year's winner is ANGELA STOCKBRIDGE for her photograph "Frozen Cobweb and Post Box". Well done Angela!

In the slideshow below, you will find some photographs taken during the exhibition by Alan Thompson FRPS and Royston Williamson as well as Angela and her winning photograph.
