Images taken on a mobile phone, Tablet or iPad can be entered.
A
light-hearted competition started in 2019 by President at the time, Margaret
Dane.
• Open subject.
• Classless.
• Two images per member.
• Images must have been taken on a phone or
tablet.
• Images must NOT be processed in any way – that
includes any processing as the image is captured, for example, taking
photographs in black & white or setting colours to be enhanced or the image
to be stylised. Any phone processing after capture including the use of
enhancing software. The audience on the night will be the arbiter on this.
• You may only add a keyline, straighten, crop
and resize to PDI requirements (maximum 1600 pixels wide by 1200 pixels
high).
• Images must not have been used in any DCC
competition before.
Choosing
the winning image
• The images will be reviewed and commented on by
two members of the club, usually the previous year’s
Winner and Runner Up.
• It will then be up to all members attending to
decide if the image is to be held back, this will be done by a show of hands.
• Those images that are held back will be voted
on, and the one receiving the most votes will win.
• Members may vote for more than one image.
• 2nd and 3rd places are determined by
knockout voting.
