Judged by class.

The Judge will award a Winner, a Runner Up and a number of Highly Commended.

Set Subjects Definitions

Season 26/27  Macro (including close up)

A photograph in this category should show a small subject or a detailed part of a subject photographed at close range, with the emphasis on detail, texture, form, pattern or structure.

The category includes both true (1:1) or larger macro photography and close-up photography.

Season 27/28  Night-time photography with People

Images taken after dark where people are a significant part of the composition, using natural or artificial light to capture the atmosphere, activity, or character of the night.

Season 28/29 Complementary Colours”,

Images where colours opposite each other on the colour wheel are the main visual relationship in the image.
