A GUIDE TO PRINTING
Basic requirements are;
An image can be printed to any size, usually A3 being the largest size. So, to keep it simple first time, look at a standard A4 print, or A3 print or even a square 12” x 12” print.
There are two ways to produce a printed image – print on your own printer, or have an image printed for you by one of our recommended print outlets;
1. Paul Hodson (DCC Member) M.07990 531819 www.framedit.co.uk
2. DS Colour Labs Ltd https://dscolourlabs.co.uk/
3. Loxley Colour https://www.loxleycolour.com/prints
When using a 3rd party printer ensure you read all their requirements regarding size, colour space, profiling, paper choice etc.. These retailers may also mount the image for you.
Mount boards: Next stage is to mount your image.
Buy pre-cut mount boards available with many different apertures ready to take your image. These are available from Paper Spectrum. https://www.paperspectrum.co.uk/ and are under-cut by a few millimetres allowing the mount to fit neatly over the print.
