"I started my photographic journey with a Kodak Brownie when I was 9 years old.  It used a roll of 127 film giving me 8 exposures.  I was totally sold on this little device and with the experience of making pictures.   A few cameras later at 15, I got my first SLR (a second hand Edixa Prizmat) and started processing film and printing my own B&W images in our attic.  I would buy a 50 foot roll of Ilford FP4 cut and load it into 35mm canisters, running off a 100 shots a day, photographing school events, etc.  A career in aviation dimmed my enthusiasm for a while until I got my first digital camera 25 years ago.   For me the point of a photography has always been the printed image.   And so with the advent of digital printing I was back doing what I loved.   Richard MW kindly suggested I join the Dorking Camera Club.   I've learned a great deal since joing and have made many good friends.  It's a great photo club, with a marvellous social side and I feel privileged to be a member."
