A set subject Print competition - the subjects and types of
panel, for this and successor years are listed below
Judged by class
Each Triptych must have a single title.
The judge will look for originality, technically good
images, and composition. Remember that the judge will be looking for a panel
that represents the set subject well and may disqualify or penalise panels they
feel do not. A good panel the composition both within each image and especially
across the set of three is important. Pay particular attention to how three
images look together as a set – flow lines, diagonals, symmetry, or other
compositional devices should be intentional across the set
The Judge will decide on a Winner, a Runner Up and a number
of Highly Commended to award for this competition.
Triptych on a single Sheet
Each sheet is an artwork containing three distinct visual
sections printed that tells a story, shares a theme, or creates a balanced
visual print panel on one piece of paper up to A3 in size or one 500mm by 400mm
mount boards.
Members are asked to submit up to two triptychs.
Triptych on a panel of three
A set of three associated images designed to be viewed
together to tell a story, share a theme, or create a balanced visual panel. on
one three pieces of paper up to A3 in size or three 500mm by 400mm mount
boards.
Members are asked to submit one panel of three.
Each of the three prints should be labelled on the back with
the panel title, an arrow indicating the top, the image position (e.g., Left,
Centre, Right or Top, Middle, Bottom etc.), and your name
