ZOOM PRESENTATION:  Talk relating to our Set Subject:  'Still Life' by Polina Plotnikova.

Title "Starting from a Blank Canvas".  Focusing on how Polina conceives and executes a distinct artistic vision from a blank mental slate. Exploring visualization and control, with the photographer meticulously planning and executing the composition, lighting, and colours to achieve a pre-conceived image. 

6th October:

Lilian Hobbs ARPS and FRAS (Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society) has been an astrophotographer for many, many years. Tonight the first half of her talk will be hints and tips on how to photograph the aurora. Should you go on a cruise or take a trip Iceland? What camera settings should I use, this and many other question will be answered. After the break Lilian will discuss whether astrophotography is changing with the introduction of Smart Telescopes. Is a Camera and Telescope and tracker still needed? Can a Smart Telescope costing £500 really replace your mirrorless camera and make astrophotography very easy. Come along and findout
